Inner Rhythm

Daniela has been recently coming to terms with her potential future of dance but is it the road she wants to travel down with all the perfectionist mindsets of the industry.

First written in 2022 by Alexander Chettur & Jean Daly. Inner Rhythm is a Short Dance Psychological Thriller that looks into the Dance industry from an adolescent point of view.

With a lot of overwhelming issues from dancing including obsession, perfectionism and rivalry, Inner Rhythm looks beyond these stereotypes to help paint a more positive aspect onto the crafts and also to convey the message that it is okay to have a balance between living and working.

The Co-Directors contacted Bryony Pollard and Jake Webb in late 2022 to join them on bringing this project to life as the main characters of the project, Daniela/Exhausted Danni and Cameron respectively. They also reacted out to Vanessa Dunley and Alessandro Sciusco to portray one of the many antagonists within the film, The Teachers.

After submitting the script into the Essex Film Collective Short Script Competition which resulted in the piece coming 3rd place and winning the Made in Essex prize, this helped to install confidence for them to shoot film after some positive feedback on the film and the opportunity to showcase some work to a live audience.

Production for the film began in the Spring of 2023 with the support of Lucy Heale and Dimensions Dance Company whose HND Dancers from the class of 2023 played another antagonist within the story, The Bodies of Dancers.

The film finished shooting around that time in which Post-Production was started swiftly. Once the film was completed, it was screen in front of a live audience at Twenty-One in Southend-On-Sea to a majority positive reaction.

Inner Rhythm has seen Film Festival accolades from British Film Festival in 2023 and Indie-Clips Short Film Festival in 2023 as Official Selections.

This project being the first one for Silver Moon Pictures helped to lay the groundwork for all projects going forward and the key themes and dynamic storytelling within each film.

For a film like this, that says a lot about the skill which was used in making it, You normally notice skill like this on a big screen Film or TV Show so for me, this was super cool"
